Focus Area
Staff Center
The end-user interface must be clean, well-organized, and intuitive so that users can use it without instructions.
What to Expect
We’re designing the Staff Center to be as streamlined and user-friendly as possible, so that each user group has access to exactly the features they need in their day-to-day work.
Where We Start
Surcharges must still be requested by email
Requests, reviews, and approvals are handled via email inboxes and Excel spreadsheets; follow-up questions take time, and supporting documents get lost.We will configure the Staff Center so that specific allowances can be requested directly by the employees to whom they apply.
The Staff Center is overloaded with processes that only a few people use
All user groups see the same interface, and important features get lost among rarely used processes. We design the user interface to be so personalized that it is tailored to each user group and provides only what is truly needed.
Employees continue to submit slips indicating their availability
Availability information and preferences are submitted on paper or via email and must be manually entered into the schedule by the planners.
Our approach is to digitize everything that makes sense to digitize. The Staff Center allows employees to independently submit their availability and preferences to schedulers digitally.
Teams use WhatsApp groups to swap shifts
Shift swaps are arranged informally, and the scheduler must manually update the schedule afterward.
With the help of clear guidelines, we give employees the opportunity to swap shifts among themselves without requiring a scheduler to manually adjust the schedule.
