Interfaces and Integrations

In the HR field, interfaces are much more than mere data connections. Whether personnel master data is being imported into ASES, payroll data is being sent from ASES to the payroll system, or time management data is being exported to the BI tool—personal data must be transferred. This must be done automatically, reliably, securely, traceably, and in a way that is easy to maintain.

What to Expect

We help implement interfaces that not only make customers’ day-to-day work easier by ensuring seamless data transfer, but also empower them to understand and control the data transfer process at every step.

Where We Start

Transmission Chaos = Billing Chaos

For some reason, the data transfer for wage types hasn't been working properly for quite some time now. The transferred values are hard to make sense of—they're either too high or too low. Sometimes wage types are missing entirely. And manual corrections are constantly being made in the payroll system.

Interface programs and data transfer should always be defined in a logical and transparent manner. We are happy to assist with error analysis and troubleshooting in day-to-day operations as part of our long-term support, or we can work with you to redesign the interfaces as part of a project support engagement.

Re-enrollments are always created manually

When employees who have previously left the company rejoin, a number of questions arise. Will the employees be assigned the same employee ID number again? What data does the interface transfer? Will the master data be assigned as it would be for a new hire, or will the system start with the data from when they left? “Okay, we'll create the record manually.”

It’s worth defining and automating recurring scenarios. Why? Tasks that don’t come up every day, in particular, raise many questions and create a burden in day-to-day operations. As part of our project support, we develop clear and transparent processes that enable you to handle even irregular tasks with ease.

Data fields must be maintained manually

The ATOSS personnel master data is populated via an interface from a master data system. However, the master data system contains fields that are not relevant for time and attendance tracking in ATOSS—though they can be derived by combining various pieces of information from the master data system. Currently, there is no mapping in place. The corresponding fields in ATOSS are maintained manually.

By implementing data mapping—which we develop collaboratively as part of our project support—we work together to build more logic into the interface, thereby achieving a higher degree of automation and reducing the need for manual data maintenance. For example, based on information from the master data system stating that “an employee holds a supervisory position in Department XY,” ATOSS can automatically derive the appropriate user profile.

Requests for reports are constantly coming in

The reporting tool consolidates a wide range of data and key metrics, which management can view directly. However, the HR department has not yet been integrated into the system, which results in constant requests for analyses being sent to the HR department.

By integrating the ATOSS solution with the customer’s custom reporting system, we work with the customer as part of our project support to develop a method for providing relevant data in a structured and organized manner, making ad hoc analyses a thing of the past.

Those were just a few examples.
